Why should you have implants?
Increased
self esteem
Missing teeth usually generates psychological stress that affects quality of life and self-esteem. For the vast majority of people affected by this problem, the use of removable dentures is quite painful and uncomfortable.
Chewing and
Speech
When teeth are lost, there are also changes in the bones and muscles of the face, which can cause dysfunction in the joints, chewing and speech. In addition to restoring the aesthetics of your smile, implants restore all your chewing and speaking functions.
Avoid
Bone loss
The loss of teeth and prolonged use of removable prostheses is associated with continuous bone resorption. By functioning as artificial roots, implants stimulate the bone, preventing or stabilizing bone loss.

Just one
missing tooth
A single dental implant is the best solution.
A missing tooth, regardless of whether it is visible or
not, should be replaced with a dental implant, as in
the medium/long term it can contribute to the development of various oral health problems.
Several
missing teeth
A bridge supported by dental implants is the
best solution.
If you have two or more missing teeth, the ideal solution for your case is to replace them through a bridge supported by dental implants.
All
missing teeth
Treatment Concept All-on-4 ® is the best solution.
Missing all teeth it is something that generates psychological stress, affecting quality of life and self-esteem. For many people with this problem,
The use of removable prostheses proves to be quite painful and uncomfortable, leading to continuous bone resorption due to the trauma caused by them.
Dental implants are titanium devices that are inserted into the jaw or jaw bone to replace the roots of missing teeth. They serve as a base for fixing fixed dental prostheses, such as single crowns, bridges or complete dentures.
Ideal candidates for dental implants are those who have good oral and general health, healthy gums, and a sufficient amount of bone to support the implant. However, even in patients with diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis or other health conditions, treatment with dental implants is not contraindicated.
Implant placement is performed under local anesthesia, which allows pain control during the procedure. After surgery, it is common to feel some discomfort or swelling, which can be minimized with painkillers prescribed by your dentist.
The surgical process for implant placement is quite quick, between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the case. On the same day, a fixed prosthesis is also placed. However, we can say that the process is only fully completed 4 to 6 months later, as this is the time needed for the
osseointegration process (the fusion of the implant with the bone) to take place.
Osseointegration is the process by which the titanium implant fuses with the maxillary or mandibular bone, creating a stable and durable base for the definitive fixed prosthesis. This process is crucial to ensuring the long-term success of dental implants.
Dental implants require the same care as natural teeth. This includes daily brushing and flossing, or other additional devices recommended by your dentist or oral hygienist, such as subgingival irrigators. Maintaining good oral hygiene and regular maintenance appointments is essential to prevent infections or other complications around implants.
Dental implants have a high success rate of around 98%. However, long-term success depends on factors such as the patient's overall health, bone quality, and adherence to proper maintenance and oral hygiene protocol.
Like any surgical procedure, the placement of dental implants can have risks, including infection, nerve damage and sinus problems. However, these risks are rare and can usually be managed with appropriate care and professional monitoring.
Yes, many patients choose to replace conventional dentures with partial or full dentures supported by implants for greater comfort, stability and phonetic and chewing function. Implants also offer the additional advantage that, unlike removable prostheses, they do not cause trauma to adjacent tissues or teeth and that they prevent or stabilize bone loss.
